Privacy notice
What happens to the details you send.
This notice covers the enquiry form on this site. It is written in plain English on purpose. Last updated 3 November 2026.
Who we are
Alex Greig, who runs LimeStack, is the controller for personal information sent through this site. The business is based in Bridgend, Wales and works with clients remotely across the UK.
Contact: hello@limestack.co.uk.
What this notice covers
It covers the name, business name, email address and message you type into the enquiry form, plus the technical basics a web server normally sees (such as the time of the request). It does not cover a client project once we are working together. That gets its own conversation.
What we collect
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- Whatever you write in “What's slowing you down?”
Please do not send passwords, card numbers, or anything you would not put in an ordinary email.
Why we use it
We use it to read your enquiry and reply, and to decide whether a paid discovery or a build makes sense. The lawful bases under UK GDPR are steps towards a contract at your request (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use the form to build a mailing list. We do not send marketing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to answer you, and for a short while afterwards in case you write again. If we do not work together, that is unlikely to be more than 12 months from the last message. If we do work together, we keep what the project, the care plan, and ordinary UK tax and legal rules require, then delete what we no longer need.
Who sees it, and where
Alex Greig reads the enquiries. The form does not send anything to a server. It opens an email to hello@limestack.co.uk in your own email app, and nothing is delivered until you send that email. We do not store the note on this website.
Once you send the email, it arrives in that inbox like any other message. We do not pass it to advertisers. We do not transfer it outside the UK as part of this form.
Cookies
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not drop non-essential cookies. You will not get a cookie banner for a tracker we have not installed.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the enquiry details we hold
- correct them
- delete them
- restrict how we use them
- stop using them where the basis is legitimate interests
- provide a portable copy, where that right applies
Email hello@limestack.co.uk and we will deal with it. We may need to confirm you are the person the details are about. An ordinary email enquiry does not usually create a portability right, but ask anyway and we will help where we can.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab).
Children
This site is aimed at businesses, not at children.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change with it. The current version is always the one on this page.
